Jones Party Hat

Dear laptop,

Could you be a dear and, I dunno, NOT vibrate on my lap while burning my new CD's into my flashdrive. It's really awkward.

~ A.H.

Got more CDs today. Technically, I procured five and a vinyl, but one of the CD's and the vinyl are for Mom and Dad's Christmas presents. I got the vinyl for free because the guy at the record store loves me. Even if I have called it "Rick Black's Music Shack." (Gorillaz joke).

ANYWAY, I can't decide which CD to give my dad. I mean, I know he likes the Stone Temple Pilots, so that's okay, but the Hole CD I picked up is something I know he doesn't have. Hm... I'll probably just copy the Hole CD and give that one to him. If he says he already has it, I'll give him the Stone Temple Pilots CD and say it was a backup... Which it was. Mom's vinyl is Van Halen because she loves them.

My CDs were an 80's compilation, an electronica compilation and a band I don't know if I like yet. It sounds like Elvis took singing lessons from Robert Smith and raided Kurt Cobain's journals before he died.

FFFF- Come On Eileen is really catchy... But I've never heard a less Silent Hill-y song... ARGH!!! SH4 IS RUINED FOREVER FOR ME!!!

My Electronica CD is okay so far... Then again, I tend to like Electronica more than other stuff. The singer on this track sounds like GLaDOS gave Nero speaking lessons and he started reciting modern Edgar Allen Poe and Robert Browning. I'm not sure if that's good or terrifying. I'm going to lean with good, considering I loved Porphyria's Lover (Go read it! It's nuts!) and GLaDOS is totally the secret lovechild of Nero and Shelke's personality.

I'm not going to comment on the Hole CD because it will just be me gushing over how I wish I was Courtney Love's apprentice in epic. The album I bought seems to have more of them covering stuff than their actual songs. I'm not sure what that means for my listening experience, but you'll definitely hear it when I finish it.

(EDIT: Just listened to "Not Gonna Get Us" by t.A.T.u... Er... I can't stop thinking Shelkero. It makes no real sense.)
